Resolution 1996-1 of the Real Estate Council of Alberta

WHEREAS by Rules 7(1) and 19(1)(c) under the Real Estate Act, S.A. 1995, c. R-4.5 (the “Act”), the Real Estate Council of Alberta (the “Council”) has the power, duty and responsibility to prescribe, adopt and approve the examination (the “Real Estate Agent Examination”) to be written by a person who wishes to apply for a licence as a real estate agent or to be designated as a real estate broker designated representative;

AND WHEREAS by Rules 7(1) and 19(1)(c) under the Act, the Council has the power, duty and responsibility to prescribe, adopt and approve the passing grade of the Real Estate Agent Examination;

AND WHEREAS by Section 15(1) of the Act, the Council has the authority to delegate its powers, duties and responsibilities relating to the Real Estate Agent Examination;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

  • The Council hereby delegates to the Executive Director its power, duty and responsibility to prescribe, adopt and approve the Real Estate Agent Examination.
  • The Council hereby delegates to the Executive Director its power, duty and responsibility to prescribe, adopt and approve the passing grade for the Real Estate Agent Examination.
