Licences Expire on September 30

|

Licensees who have not already done so, must renew their licence this week. It will expire this Saturday, October 1.

The deadline to renew your licence is Friday, September 30. If your licence is not renewed by September 30, you will no longer be licensed and cannot continue practicing until you reinstate your licence.

The renewal fee remains unchanged. Please see the fee schedule.

Please note, there is no re-licensing education requirement for 2022.

If you are dropping off a cheque to RECA’s office, please do so no later than 4 p.m. Friday, September 30. A reminder that all banks and post offices are closed on September 30 to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

If you are a broker, ensure that you have reported any unreported brokerage amendments to the registrar and, if you own 50% or less of your brokerage, that you have a completed the Brokerage Renewal Suitability Questions document prior to renewing online.

All licensees must report any unreported events to the registrar pursuant to Section 40 of the Real Estate Act Rules prior to renewing online.

Associates and associate brokers can begin renewing once their broker has renewed the licence of the brokerage. We will notify you by email when your brokerage has completed its renewal.

Steps to Renew

  1.  login to your myRECA account
  2.  go to the Current Licences page under the Licensing tab
  3.  click the Start Renewal button
  4. follow the steps
  5. pay the licensing fees

When your renewal is complete, the Licence Status indicator will have changed from yellow to green and your renewed licence certificate will be available to download.

See the Renewing an Associate or an Associate Broker Tutorial or the Renewing My Licence page on reca.ca for more information.
