Another September has come and gone and the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) would like to thank industry professionals across the province, in all four industry sectors, for their cooperation in making this year’s renewal period a smooth one.
The progression of this year’s renewal numbers followed the same script as in past years. In all sectors, the number of renewals processed increased exponentially between September 15th and October 1st, with more than two-thirds of renewals occurring in those final two weeks.
The RECA staff worked diligently to assist industry professionals with any issues or concerns right up to the renewal deadline. Consumer and Industry Services staff fielded 208 calls from industry professionals on September 30 alone, which is up from the roughly 40 calls they receive from industry professionals on a regular business day. They also responded to a total of 450 emails on September 30 and October 1, which is up from the 140 emails they usually receive in two-day period.
