We are all taught to plan ahead and avoid procrastination. However, the demands of our personal and professional lives often leave us rushing to meet deadlines. If you are one of the 30% of real estate or mortgage brokerage licensees who have not yet completed their re-licensing education, I empathize with you.
If you have not already done so, we encourage you to complete your re-licensing education as soon as possible. You can take the course any time, any place, any pace. The course will also save your progress if you wish to take it over several sessions. Also, if you have not done so already, please remember to notify the Executive Director of any discipline, charges, convictions or judgments during the last year.
Give yourself as much time to deal with the unexpected. Remember, even with the best-laid plans, things can go sideways. The Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) wants you to be renewed by September 30, 2012 so that you can continue to provide services to your valued clients. We also trust that the RECA re-licensing education program courses will help you in your ongoing professional development.
I wish you every success.
