Prep exams do not provide answers to the questions; it is meant to be as if you were writing the pre-licensing exam.

Why Write a Prep Exam

Those who complete prep exams are more successful on the corresponding pre-licensing exams. There are several reasons for this:

  • Being familiar with the examination framework allows you to focus on the exam questions when completing the pre-licensing exam. Prep exams are taken on the same platform as the pre-licensing exam.
  • Prep exams let you know the competencies in which your knowledge may be weak. This enables you to focus your studies on specific competencies when preparing for the pre-licensing exam.
  • Experiencing the types of questions and the exam platform ahead of time can reduce exam anxiety which has been found to increase confidence and lead to better overall performance.

RECA prep exams allow you to reflect on your knowledge and performance, prepare accordingly, and give you the confidence to know when you are ready for the corresponding pre-licensing exam.
