Part 3 - Conduct Proceedings

Section 54 - Withdrawal from Membership
54(1)

Subject to the rules, an industry member may apply to the Council to withdraw from industry membership if the industry member’s conduct is the subject-matter of proceedings under this Part or the industry member suspects that the industry member’s conduct may become the subject-matter of proceedings under this Part.

(2)

The Council may approve or reject the application and may make its approval subject to any terms and conditions the Council considers appropriate.

(3) Where the Council approves an application, then, subject to any terms and conditions imposed under subsection (2), all proceedings under this Part in respect of the industry member are discontinued and no proceedings in respect of the conduct may be commenced under this Part.
