Keith Bryan Westergaard – Lifetime Withdrawal From Industry
Calgary, Alberta – On May 4, 2011, Keith Bryan Westergaard, mortgage broker registered with Westergaard Investments Corporation, applied to the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA) to withdraw from industry membership, in accordance with section 54 of the Real Estate Act (REA).
At the time of his application, Mr. Westergaard was the subject of conduct proceedings to determine whether he had:
- Failed to notify RECA of various court orders, judgments or disciplinary action in accordance with s.15 and s.40 of the Real Estate Act Rules.
- Made misleading representations on licensing applications contrary to s.4(d) of the Code of Conduct (as it was then).
At the time of the withdrawal application approval, there had been no disciplinary hearing, admissions or findings of fact.
By virtue of operation of the Real Estate Act, Part Three, conduct proceedings are discontinued. Mr. Westergaard’s application to withdraw was approved by RECA and results in a voluntary lifetime prohibition from industry membership.
