BOB MYRONIUK, Executive Director
Bob Myroniuk is the Executive Director of the Real Estate Council of Alberta. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Law degrees from the University of Alberta, and has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria. Prior to joining RECA, Bob was a lawyer in private practice and served as Executive Director with the Alberta Government in Housing and Consumer Affairs. In his position with the Alberta Government, he was responsible for the development of the Real Estate Act of Alberta (1995) and implementing the transition from government regulation to self-regulation in the real estate industry.

Bob is available to speak on professional regulation, leadership, team work, strategic planning, change management, board governance, collaboration and stakeholder engagement.




DALE CAWSEY, Director of Corporate Services
Dale Cawsey has a diverse background in finance and administration.  Dale has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and has been a Chartered Accountant for over 30 years.  Dale has been Director of Corporate Services with RECA for four years and prior to that spent over 20 years with the ATCO Group, where he gained experience in finance, administration, Information Technology, Human Resources and corporate governance.  As Director of Corporate Services, Dale is responsible for accounting services, human resources, information technology, communications and office administration.

Dale is available to discuss trends in information technology and accounting for not-for-profit organizations.




DOUG DIXON, Real Estate Practice Advisor
Doug Dixon joined RECA as its Real Estate Practice Advisor in March 2012. Doug has 31 years of real estate experience with thirteen years as an associate and broker. He was previously the Executive Officer of the Nova Scotia Real Estate Association and then spent fourteen years as the Registrar for the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission. He has a wide range of real estate experience from many different views within the industry.

Doug is available for RECA Update presentations at brokerages, industry associations and related stakeholder groups, and can speak on practice issues in general, overviews of the Real Estate Act and Rules, and agency.

GARY SIEGLE, Mortgage Broker Practice Advisor
Gary Siegle joined RECA in March 2017 as its first Mortgage Broker Practice Advisor. Gary has extensive experience in residential and commercial mortgage brokerage, as well as more than 20 years in the mortgage insurance industry, and he started his career with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Gary also has an extensive background in mortgage broker education and financial literacy.

Gary is available to conduct presentations to brokerages and industry organizations on mortgage brokerage practices and regulatory issues, and to provide RECA Update presentations.




Charles Stevenson joined RECA in early 2010. Since that time, Charles has been involved with licensing, information services, communications, trust assurance and practice review, professional conduct review and professional conduct proceedings. Prior to RECA, Charles enjoyed a 13-year career predominantly in residential real estate at the end of which he was the broker for one of Alberta’s largest real estate brokerages and worked in franchise development for an Alberta real estate franchisor. Charles was also an Alberta Real Estate Association and RECA-approved instructor for both pre-licensing and re-licensing programs.

Charles is available for RECA Update presentations, as well as presentations on Self-Regulation, Professionalism and Protecting the Public Interest; Emerging Trends and Issues for Practitioners; Right Touch Compliance and Enforcement; as well as all aspects of RECA's trust assurance and practice review, professional conduct review and professional conduct proceedings programs.




DAVID POMEROY, Trust Assurance and Practice Review Coordinator
David Pomeroy has been with RECA since its foundation in 1996 and served for three years with RECA's predecessor organization, the Alberta real estate licensing committee. David received his BComm from the University of  Auckland in New Zealand and holds a CA designation in New Zealand and a CGA designation in Canada. Prior to coming to Canada, David was with the controller and auditor general of New Zealand and the audit commission for England and Wales. David is available for presentations on RECA's trust assurance and practice review program and trust accounting.
