The Real Estate Council of Alberta’s (RECA) corporate services unit’s mandate includes financial administration, human resources, information technology (“IT”) and office administration. Leading the corporate services team is the director of corporate services who supervises a group of seven employees, including a senior accountant and an accountant assistant, payroll and benefits administrator, receptionist, information technology coordinator and information assistant, and office administrator.
Corporate services is responsible for the preparation of the operating budget, financial reporting, investment of the assurance and operating funds, payroll and benefits administration, and office administration, including the management of RECA’s leased office space.
Corporate services also coordinates, through a third-party IT services contractor, the management of the IT infrastructure, which includes the IT network and the development and maintenance of the RECA Online system and the MOODLE education platform.
