Five members of council appointed by the council; one of the council members will serve as chair

The Council Chair is a voting member of this committee

Mandate:

The mandate of the Real Estate Education Committee is to:

• Review Phase 1 of the Real Estate Associates Program (REAP), "Introduction to a Career a Real Estate," to determine whether it should be a mandatory component of REAP
• Provide a recommendation to Council at its May 2010 meeting
• Perform such other duties and tasks assigned to it by Council.

The establishment of this committee does not affect the responsibility of the Executive Director to provide information, advice and recommendations upon his or her own initiative, or upon the request of council, on matters before council affecting the regulation of the real estate brokerage industry.

Term:

The committee will commence its work when the appointments are finalized by Council. The committee’s term will end October 31, 2008 or earlier if its mandate is completed and its final report has been presented to council.
